Diesel Mechanic – Shop

SEI Oilfield Services is currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our San Antonio area facility’s mechanic shop in Jourdanton, TX. The position is responsible for the preventive and restorative maintenance of company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

  • Pay and Benefits:
  • Full Time hours with frequent OT
  • $26 to $30 per hour – with OT $80,000 to $90,000 annually
  • Weekly Pay (Direct Deposit) – every Friday

Schedule: M-F (days) with overtime and occasional weekend work as necessary Due to the schedule the candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Antonio/Jourdanton area – Relocation package is available.
  • Qualifications and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently diagnose and make repairs
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
  • Completion of tasks in an accurate and timely manner
  • Completion of mechanic shop paperwork in a timely manner
  • Job duties include, but not limited to: repair and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, brake repair, lights, tires, wheel seals, fan belts, and basic electrical
  • Minimum of 5 years professional diesel mechanic experience required
  • Ability to complete the preventive and restorative maintenance of trucks (including 1 ton & semi), trailers, and heavy equipment.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License; CDL preferred
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check and a Pre-Employment Drug Test
  • Must be able to work independently, multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines
  • Communicate in an effective and professional manner with coworkers, vendors, agencies, & customers
Physical Job Requirements:
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items
  • Requires physical labor that requires frequent physical exertion

Frac Sand Truck Driver

SEI Oilfield Services currently has job opportunities for Class A CDL truck drivers hauling frac sand in the Permian Basin based out of our Seminole, TX location.  $80,000 – $100,000 a year with a $3,000 Driver Sign On Bonus.

Job Summary:  Serves as the primary operator of a semi-truck (with sleeper) and pneumatic trailer hauling oil field frac sand to natural gas well locations primarily in the Permian Basin. The position consists of haul jobs of varying stretches (typically 1-2 weeks) and will provide favorable home time between jobs. Orientation and training operating a pneumatic trailer is provided. Our trucks are updated and well maintained.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Commission Based – 28% of truck gross load pay with $3,000 Sign On Bonus
  • Annual Salary Range – $80,000 to $100,000
  • Weekly Pay (Direct Deposit) – frequent weeks over $3,000 with an average $1,900 weekly
  • Earning potential based on driver
  • All PPE, equipment, and training provided (except steel toed boots)
  • Matching 401k Plan

Work Performed:

  • Drive haul truck; load and unload in a safe and timely manner
  • Complete daily DOT and company paperwork in a timely manner
  • Complete DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Properly follow company and OHSA safety procedures while moving load in an efficient manner
  • Perform routine/daily inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment, report defects or needed repairs
  • Follow daily work procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and training


  • Verifiable recent experience operating a semi-truck
  • Prior experience hauling frac sand preferred, but training is available
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL with a safe driving record per MVR and PSP Report
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • Must pass company Road Test
  • Ability to drive and operate equipment under varying work conditions
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to transporting a load
  • Ability to work a varying schedule (weekends & nights) including 5-10 day stretches with dependability and consistency
  • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Checks
  • Ability to carry out written and oral instructions
  • Ability to physically perform duties consistent with driving a semi-truck, including the lifting and pulling of pneumatic trailer hoses
